SMT delays are primarily caused by timing issues. Stock shortages tend to cause the largest delays in JLCPCB assembly tasks. The solution to these delays is to pre-order parts before submitting your PCB design for manufacturing. Reserve parts in JLCPCB's parts system to ensure they are allocated to manufacturing before your PCB is submitted.

For parts that will require a long lead time (MCUs, Power ICs, and Connectors), make sure you reserve these items before beginning production to help avoid delays due to their unavailability.

Also, make sure the BOM you are using is aligned with available stock before completing your design.
