Why I Started Making Parts Thicker on Purpose

In real machining:

thin parts are painful.

Problems include:

• warping
• chatter
• clamping issues
• stripped threads

Now my mindset is:

if it can be 3 mm thick, don’t make it 1 mm.

Especially with aluminum.
