Sometimes I Pause Routing and Rethink the Placement
Not every routing challenge should be solved by adding more bends or more vias.
There are times when I stop routing, zoom out, and look at the component placement again.
A small adjustment—moving a connector slightly, rotating an IC, or repositioning a passive component, can completely change how signals flow across the board. Instead of forcing traces through crowded areas, the routing often becomes more natural with fewer compromises.
I've found that stepping back for a moment is sometimes more productive than trying to force the next trace.
Good routing doesn't always come from better routing techniques.
Sometimes, it starts with a better placement.
