PCB layout isn't only about completing the routing. Once the board becomes more populated, the way components are grouped also affects how easy the design is to review.

Keeping related components together, such as decoupling capacitors around an IC, resistor networks, or interface circuits makes the layout easier to understand immediately. During debugging or future revisions, it's much faster to identify functional blocks instead of searching for individual parts across the board.

Electrical performance may remain the same, but a well-organized layout is usually easier to build, inspect, and maintain.
