Length matching is commonly used in high-speed PCB design to align signal timing, but adding meanders isn't the goal.

Extra routing should only be added when timing requirements demand it. Unnecessary or poorly designed meanders can increase coupling between adjacent segments and introduce unwanted signal integrity effects.

A well-matched signal isn't simply the longest one. It's the one that meets the required timing while maintaining consistent routing practices.

Like any other high-speed routing technique, length tuning should solve a design requirement, not create a new one.
