Catch Defects Early with Statistical Process Control
Statistical process control (SPC) uses control charts to monitor production in real time. By plotting sample measurements against upper and lower control limits, you can see when a process is drifting out of specification before any defective parts are made.
Control limits are set based on normal process variation. When a data point falls outside these limits or shows a non-random pattern, it signals a special cause of variation. This early warning lets you adjust the process immediately, preventing waste and rework.
