When possible, use open geometries like slots instead of close-tolerance internal features. If you must design a deep bore, include a countersink or chamfer to guide the probe. Also, consider the direction of measurement; orient datums to minimize repositioning of the part or CMM head. These small changes make inspection faster and more repeatable.

Ultimately, a part that is easy to inspect is also easier to manufacture consistently. By designing with inspection in mind, you reduce scrap, improve quality, and keep production flowing smoothly.
