We once had a sheet metal part where the laser-cut profile matched the drawing, but the final assembly still had alignment issues.

After bending, springback and material movement changed the relationship between the hole and the formed features.

In sheet metal, a hole is not only a 2D location. Its final position depends on how the entire part behaves during forming.

The design looked right in CAD, but manufacturing revealed another factor.
